About Marije

Marije specialises in administrative law, with a focus on area development. She advises on and, if necessary, litigates in cases concerning spatial plans and environmental permits, (government) liability law, compensation for damages, and expropriation. Her clients are mainly project developers, (prospective) operators of wind and solar parks, sports clubs (with a focus on padel), horticultural businesses, and (local) authorities.

Marije began her career in 2012 in the civil sector of the Rotterdam District Court and the Court of Appeal in The Hague. In 2015, she switched to private practice. Since 2017, she has specialised exclusively in environmental and administrative law.

She knows better than anyone how to draft and present a request, claim, or defence in such a way as to maximise the chances of success. Marije has achieved considerable success in litigation thanks to her innovative insights and extensive experience in both civil law and (spatial) administrative law.
