Dominique has been a solicitor since 2020 and has been working at La Gro as part of the Property team since 1 January 2024. She advises on and litigates in relation to tenancy law and related issues concerning the use of property, including where a traditional tenancy relationship does not apply, such as in cases of loan for use or mixed arrangements.
In the field of housing, Dominique advises and litigates on a wide range of issues, including housing fraud, subletting, nuisance, tenancy protection and the termination of tenancies. She is familiar with, amongst other things, the rent control system, including the Housing Valuation Scheme (WWS), and the implications of the Affordable Rent Act. Dominique acts on behalf of both landlords, such as property investors, housing associations and care organisations, and commercial tenants.
In the field of commercial property, Dominique specialises in both premises for small and medium-sized enterprises (Article 7:290 of the Dutch Civil Code) and other commercial premises (Article 7:230a of the Dutch Civil Code). She advises on the drafting and assessment of tenancy agreements, rent reviews, refurbishment, subletting, related claims and termination. Dominique assists landlords and commercial tenants, including franchise organisations, hospitality businesses, retail chains and healthcare institutions.
